The Paris Air Show where the whole aerospace world connect

For more than 100 years, the International Paris Air Show has been the unmissable event for air and space enthusiasts. After nearly two years of waiting, the event will be held from 17 to 23 June 2019 for its 53rd edition.

The bi-annual event taking place at Paris’ Le Bourget Airport is organized by the SIAE, a subsidiary of GIFAS, the French Aerospace Industries Association. The event dates all the way back to 1908 when the Paris Motor Show had a dedicated aviation section. The first standalone Paris Air Show took place a year later in 1909.


Once again, it will bring together all the players in the global industry around the latest technological innovations. The first four days of the show will be reserved for trade visitors, followed by three days open to the general public.

The event has 131 500 m² of exhibition area sold (halls, village, chalets and outdoor area), it hosts more than 2381 international exhibitors, 142 000 trade visitors and more than 150 aircraft performing flying displays and exhibited.

For the 52nd edition, in 2017 there was an increase of 3% in exhibitors compared to 2015 going up to 2 381 companies. For business stats, $150 billion orders were done, an increase of 13% than the previous edition; 897 orders and purchasing commitments for a catalogue value of 115 billion USD, for a total of 934 commercial aircraft.

One of the pleasing aspects of the numbers is strong growth in the average length of stay which is up from 3 nights.
