After Delta Air Lines and Qatar Airways, it's Pegasus Airlines which ordered 25 A321neo

The second largest Turkish Airlines made today in the morning another command to Airbus for 25 A321neo Airbus Cabin Flex configuration. This command was an option made in 2012 when they first traded with the European aircraft manufacturer. The Turkish airlines decided to pass to an all-Airbus fleet as they are already using on loan 12 A320ceo and A320neo.

Initially the command was made in 2012 for 75 medium haul plane divide in 57 A320neo and 18 A321neo plus the 25 from the option that has been called today. It's a total of 100 Airbus medium haul flight planes for Pegasus Airlines. This plane has a good notoriety thanks to his "Cabin Flex" model that allow buyer to personalize Cabin as they want. The A321neo can land untill 236 seat if they are all same class thanks to reorganization of toilets and office. Other companies as Delta Air Lines chose to create 3 different flight class into the plane.

This order represents the biggest order in Turkish Aviation. "Turkey keeps strengthening its position in the World aviation market everydays and we as Pegasus are an important part of this transformation. The order we placed in 2012 for 100 Airbus aircraft was the biggest order in Turkey’s aviation history at the time. We received the first aircraft of this order in Q3 2016 and now we have an agreement to convert 25 options into firm orders. We will continue to grow our fleet one step at a time and with our new aircraft we will continue to offer more comfortable flights for our passengers.” said Mehmet T Nane, Pegasus Airlines General Manager

The A321neo is the largest member of A320 family plus it has less fuel consumption. 15% less for the on be built today and 20% for the one that will be build in 2020. It has new door system and fuselage enhancement allowing airlines to make better use of the cabin space.

It's now a total of 5200 orders from 95 customers for the A321neo that represent now nearly 60% of the market.
