Airbus Helicopter announced advancement related to its Racer. The program has been founded by European Union framework to the Clean Sky 2 program which is going to achieve the best trade-off between speed, cost-efficiency, sustainability and mission performance.

The 200-hour Racer flight demonstration will begin in 2020, with the first phase will focus on envelope expansion and on assessing key performance parameters as well as handling qualities, stability, and aerodynamics. The second phase of flight testing demonstrated the aircraft’s suitability for particular missions in which increased speed and efficiency would be useful, including search & rescue (SAR), emergency medical services (EMS), and private and corporate transport.

Airbus Helicopter hopes that the aircraft will set new benchmarks for high-speed helicopter transportation. That was 3 important days for European Leader.
