According to it, Airbus predicts a very large market of 5,800billion dollars (4,950 billion euros) from 2018 to 2037 instead of a market of 5,300billion dollars for 34900 aircraft predicted a year ago.
"Growth factors include that emerging markets have a private consumption 2,4 higher than last year, with incomes raising and a medium class that almost doubled at the global scale." Said Airbus in the study
This raise will be led by emerging countries which represent 60% of the global growth with as consequence a raise in the number of flight per person in these countries. For long and medium-haul segments, the European group predicts a need of 28,550 aircraft in 20 years. Knowing that Airbus reinforced his position on this segment when they took control of CSeries program from Bombardier. For long-haul, Airbus predicts for higher capacity as A350-1000 and A380, a demand of 1,590 during the next 20 years.
