With the contracts won at the last Dubai Airshow, United Airlines and Spirit Airlines to be transformed, Airbus is on track to achieve 900 net sales over the entire 2019 period.
Before the Dubai Airshow 2019, Airbus had 542 net sales since the beginning of the year. Orders unveiled during the Dubai Airshow 2019 further boosted the European manufacturer's net sales. Airbus now has 718 net sales at the end of November 2019 despite cancellations that went from 176 at the end of October to 222 at the end of November. Despite a higher number of cancellations than in 2018 (84 cancellations over the whole of last year), Airbus will, as expected (see Airbus climbs to 542 net sales), do better than in the previous year, with the recent order from United Airlines for 50 Airbus A321XLR and the 100 A320neo family aircraft still to be confirmed by the low-cost airline Spirit Airlines. Not to mention other protocols and/or letters of intent to be transformed. Airbus is expected to be very close to 900 net sales for the full year 2019 compared to 747 in 2018.
