The end of Falcon 5X
The business jet that was initially planned to be delivered at the end of 2013 had to firstly reschedule this date to 2015/2016 due to technical issues friom french engine manufacturer delayed timeline. Then, in 2016, more serious problems lead Safran to delay his Sivercrest delivery to end of 2017. Finally, in fall 2017, high pressure compressor problem leads Safran to delay his engine delivery to 2020.
Dassault couldn't wait this long and had no trust anymore in Silvercrest so they chose to change his engine manufacturer to Pratt& Whitney Canada. In fact, Falcon 5X registered since 2016, fifteen cancelations which represent 37% of total sales of business jet for Dassault Aviation.
