Compare to year 2016 that wasn't a good year for the French business aircraft manufacturer, 2017 has been a great year. Profit jumped by 60% and net sales rose by 34% to reach 4,8 billion euros. This revenues increase is supported by a segment in particular. Defence segment contributes to it with an increase of sales of 51% and a sales revenues that reachs 1,91 billion euros. This raise and good numbers are mainly due to the number of Rafale deliveries to Egypt.
The aircraft that supports this increase of turnover for the French business jet manufacturer is the Falcon. It contributes to this revenues increase as Dassault delivered 49 aircraft when only 45 were expected.
For 2018, objectives are to deliver 40 Falcons and 12 Rafales and to have almost the same turnover that they just realized in 2017. In order to realize these objectives, there will be three main challenge fo 2018 year: First to continue to sell Falcons, then success the launch of the Falcon 6X and finally find new customer interested by buying Rafale.
