Airbus A321neo

The U.S airline, wants to configure the French manufacturer's plane for 197 seats including 20 first class seats and 30 extra legroom coach to make part of the "Delta Confort +". In order to give passenger a better user experience these planes will be equipped with on demand in-flight entertainment and power point for every seat.

Cabins will feature " expansive, 25% -larger bookshelf-style overhead bins and full spectrum LED cabin lighting.” said the American airlines

The deal between the French constructor and the American company will be about 13 Billions $ and these planes will be used for domestic flights and shorter International routes. The power will be feature by Pratt and Whitney.

“Delta, Airbus and Pratt & Whitney share the same commitment to safety, efficiency, innovation and continuously improving the customer experience.” said Ed Bastian, Delta CEO

Airbus vs Boeing

So Airbus won the contract against Boeing as the American buyer considered Boeing 737 Max 10 Jet. The decision has been taken because earlier in 2017 Boeing made a complain about Bombardier for the new C series to the US Commerce Departement. Because the Canadian company was selling his plane lower price the Commerce department imposed a 300% tax for this plane that was sold to Delta Air Lines.
