Early in February 2019, the European Aviation Safety Agency reviewed and accepted a Supplemental type Certification to the Austria headquartered company FACC for its "Passenger Luggage Space Upgrade" cabon interior system to be installed in the A320 Aircraft family.

FACC developped this luggage space upgrade system to imporve functionality by increasing space by 67% while reducing wieght as well as enhancing the ambiance of the cabin. The midified overhead storage con fit up to five carry-on cases instead of three originaly. Moreover, the retrofit can be installed in the aircraft in just a few hours.
"With the latest certification, we are now able to offer all airlines a Passenger Luggage Space Upgrade as a retrofit for the classic cabin of the A318, A319, A320 and A321 Airbus models,” said Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC
