The Groupe Latécoère is an aircraft company based in Toulouse, France. Today, the group is a major supplier of sections of aircraft fuselage and doors and is the second-largest European supplier of onboard electrical wire harnesses and avionics bays with its Latelec subsidiary company.
French aircraft fuselage expert announced that they joined the Seamless air Alliance to share its in flight connectivity expertise and participate to new standards manufacture.
Two main goals under this joint. First improve a lot the in flight passenger experience. And provide for every line same connectivity level, in flight as on the ground for high and low outflow. Then to reduce the costs of acquisition, installation and operating the data access infrastructure.
Latécoère joins this consortium that reunites Airbus, Delta Air Lines, telecommunications operators, the American Sprint and the Indian Airtel, the aerial connectivity specialist Gogo and the OneWeb satellite constellation.
