Lufthansa announce that they will hire 8,000 new workers in 2018

Monday 8th of January, German company Lufthansa said that company group will hire over 8,000 new workers. Half of them will be flights attendants (air hostess and stewards), 500 will be hire as maintenance into German airline leader and his subsidiaries.

Lufthansa will hire for it own 2500 flight attendants for their hubs at very busy German Airports: Franckfort and Munich airports. 500 employees will be hired at lufthansa Tecknik as maintenance guys and the subsidiary Austrain Airlines will hire more than 500 people.

One of the biggest move is for Eurowings the subsidiary over Carsten Spohr wants to increase visibility and market shared to challenge low-cost competitors as Ryanair or the UK based EasyJet. The subsidiary will open 2700 jobs in 2018.


This information confirm the brand awareness of the company as the web platform Be-Lufthansa received more than 100,000 demands from people that want to be a part of the German leader company.

This announcement follows the European Commission approval for buying his German main competitor that had to assume bankruptcy. With this acquisition, Lufthansa obtained 33 leasing planes and prized landing slots at busy German airports.
