Lufthansa targets France market to run it growth

France is a strategic market for Lufthansa group that runs German airline growth according to Michael Gloor; Sales Director in charge of France and Benelux area for Lufthansa Group. Lufthansa results in this area are good and get better and better every year.

As September 2018 review Lufthansa published results, during last year there was a growth of 7% in term of passenger carried compare to 2016/2017, number of passengers that flight with German airline from August 2017 and July 2018 increased untill 6,5 million just for this area which represents a 15% growth. Finally, aircraft's filling increase by 5 per cent going from 70 to 75% and Lufthansa performed 736 flights weekly that leave with departure from France.

The group is going to maintain this strategy. The idea is clear : attract province people and lead them to Lufthansa's hubs to take long-haul instead of going to Charles-De-Gaulle. This strategy is working as province region traffic is raising and Lufthansa grow it footprint with 15 bases in France and Nantes and Bordeaux airports recently added.

"It's easy to make a German comes to France. But what's in my interest is that French network be connected with Lufthansa long-haul offer" Michael Gloor; Sales Director France ,Benelux area for Lufthansa Group
