Maiden test flight for A330-800neo

Latest aircraft from neo and A330 family did its maiden flight yesterday. This flight was first test hour over the 300 hundred they have to realize to certify the aircraft.

The first A330-800 took off at Blagnac in France and performed the dedicated flight-physics test required for this variant over South-Western France.


This test was realized while the other aircraft from A330 family, the A330-900 obtained EASA certification and should start test flight in december with TAP Air Portugal.


The -800 version of A330 is configured for 257 passengers in its tri-class version but, can carry up to 406 with high density. Thanks to its two Rolls Royce Trent 7000 and its composite sharklets wings it can flight over 15 094km and has a consumption 14% less important in fuel than actual aircrafts. It is equipped with cabin AIRSPACE for an exclusive and innovative in-flight experience with latest generation of in-flight entertainment system and the quietest cabin in its class.

The A330 is one of the most popular widebody families ever, having received over 1,700 orders from 120 customers. More than 1,400 A330s are flying with over 120 operators worldwide.
