Safran began well 2018 and raise yearly objectives

Metrics was published a week ago, Safran recorded an outstanding first semester 2018!

France’s Safran raised full-year forecasts after posting better-than-expected sales and profit in the first half on strong demand for spares and services, driving shares to a record high.


The French group reported a 32,6% increase in operating profit for the first half of 2018 including 129 billion revenues from Zodiac Aerospace. The French aerospace group that supplies systems and equipment for aircraft joined Safran group during last February in order to become the third biggest aerospace supplier of the world.


Facing the very large and raising demand for Aircraft due to traffic passenger increased, Safran recorded a record year in term of orders and maintenance services.

These good results are due to a very good first semester of Aerospace Propulsion and Aircraft Equipment section with raise of operating profit of 20,4% and 20,9% for the 6 months period.


Thanks to these increase of demand, French group pushed up its 2018 yearly objectives, with global revenues between 7 to 9 percent when it was only 2 to 4 percent before. And new objectives for operating income is now expected to rise by 20% when it was only 7 to 10% before these results.
