The idea was launched 8 years ago in an initial version, the Skyrider from Italien OEM Aviointerior is considered as one of the cabin interior major innovation according to Aircraft Interior Expo review. The particularity of this seat is that, it's held by a metallic bar stuck between the roof and the floor of the plane. The main particularity is the seating area that is very small, the "strict minimum" as said French aerospace and defense media Air & Cosmos. This very particular seat as you can see on the pictures have been designed for ultra-low-cost companies that choose this seat and will allow them to gain about 20% of the total cabin capacity.

"Following launch of the first version 8 years ago, we had to change our product and make it fill the requirement from regulation and flight safety, that now have been reached by Skyrider 2.0. We are currently talking with Asian airlines that are interested by the product. This very specific product will give the opportunity to airlines to make a new offer and propose an ultra-low-cost solution" said Ermanno de Vecchi, general manager Aviointerior.
